The human dynamics of change are my lifelong passion, my field of professional expertise, and a personal, ongoing journey. Over the past two years in particular I have inhabited a place of monumental change, both specific to me and shared collectively. Processing the myriad adaptations ignited by moving to a new country, and those brought upon us by the current pandemic, have become a rich, experiential field of inquiry for me. How do we navigate rampant change and the blank slate of opportunity?
My current focus is on bringing a new and deeper understanding to the complexities and implications of change. I am working on a book about deep personal change, identity, and the chaos and loss inherent in this process, as well as the potential for new growth and life.
Born in Germany, I lived in San Francisco, California, for many years, pursuing academic interests and a rewarding career as a corporate change strategist and consultant. I hold a Ph.D. (abd) in Depth Psychology and Culture and an M.A. in Clinical Feminist Psychology. My consulting clients were executive leaders in the midst of complex organizational change in organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett-Packard, and Planned Parenthood, among others. Wonderful. And yet. Change beckoned. I decided to return across the Atlantic to rediscover my European roots, and chose Brussels, Belgium, as my new home.
Sharing my reflections online is yet another new endeavor: I invite you to listen to my first series of videos, entitled When the Earth Crumbles Under Our Feet.
